Are you updating via Desktop Manager or using Loader.exe?

Ok I guess this is gonna require the long ver.

I bricked my berry the other day... Nothing was it but a white screen with "rim" and the dates. Well through dumb luck I was able to get .40 back on there.... But BBM is gone, as well as all my games and apps..... I used the Desktop M. To restore it.... All that did was give me back my numbers but I'm still missing a lot of stuff and it laggy as shi* ...for .40. And when I try to update it.... It won't let me, yes I'm using Desktop M. ...I'm afraid Iv severely screwed my berry. :(

I would try Loader.exe.

Double check that it is the right OS for your device. Double check that the OS in INSTALLED on the PC. And don't forget to delete the vendor.xml file if you used another carriers release...

And since you've lost so much, just go ahead and use JLCmder to wipe the device completely and go straight to load OS .57
