Default How do I use my Tour as a modem for my laptop? - 10-24-2009, 12:28 AM

I have a Acer netbook and it has a bluetooth button. I was told I could use my phone as a modem, how do I go about that?

by searching for TETHERING.
If you dont have tethering on your data plan, and you use it excessively, you will be charged a HUGE amount by your carrier.

Listen to midnightdraven and be wary of your carrier lubing up their "robbing rod". If you're comfortable, look for an application called TetherBerry.

I'm on Sprint and have the BB data pack, the Phone As Modem (PAM) is already part of that plan. Verizon may be similar. I'd contact your provider and see if it's an option you're already paying for. IF not, it's like $15 a month or tetherberry.
