So vzw has announced OS 5 for the Storm, what about the Tour?! Why would they not release them together?

That's a notice of WHAT they'll support, not WHEN they'll release it.

I find it interesting that the 8520 isn't on the list, nor is the 9700.

I can understand why the 9700/9520 and 9550 aren't on the list.
They come out with OS 5, not needing to be updated to Os 5.

I can only guess that the 8520 not's on the list yet, because they havent worked out a solid build, so currently won't be getting an update.

Go here (Blackberry® Storm™) on the left side at the bottom of the menu it has the instructions on how to do the install depending on what service you have, and then the third link is the software download option.

Follow that link and you should be good. Enjoy!
