Default SMS to India & other countries - 10-29-2009, 11:39 PM

Hi

I'm new user to 9630 Blackberry. Earlier I used to SMS India by punching no's - 01191XXX.XX-XXXXX. I believe that does not work now. Do we have to punch only country code & the cell no like ( 91XXX-XX-XXXXX ) without 011 ?

Can anyone help here ??

Thanks
Sandeep

I am no expert at this Sandeep.. but if you are in North America, 011 (for international long distance) followed by country code - area (or city) code - telephone number, or 011 - country code - telephone number should work (depending on the country)

Try + and then the country code. So in this case +91. Let me know if that works

Default International SMS - 11-07-2009, 09:44 AM

I have tried all possible options to SMS from US to India , & all the attempts have failed so far.

I send the SMS using all these combinations

1 ) 01191XXXXXXXXXX
2) 91XXXXXXX
3) +01191XXXXXXXXXXX
4) +91XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Can some one help or provide some insight ?

Thanks
SRD

The only thing I can think of is that it is blocked through your service provider for whatever reason. I would call them and ask.

The +91 format is all you need. Check with your service provider to see if there are any issues sending to that wireless provider in India. There may not be a connection to that wireless provider.
