Question Email Forwarding/Redirection Question - 11-02-2009, 04:12 PM

Why is it that when I have my "Turn off email message redirection while by device is connected to my computer" box checked/ticked in my Email Settings window of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager...and I have my BlackBerry plugged in to the USB, that emails continue to get directed to my BlackBerry (9630)?

I have read several other threads regarding email redirection/forwarding, and some replies provide some elaborate ways to stop this, but I thought, at least according to the description associated with the box, that simply ticking the box and connecting my BB9630 to the computer would be enough to stop the emails from forwarding. Why is it this is not the case please?

have you checked wireless synchronization to see if it is enabled/disabled?

You'd be amazed at what a hard reset can do

I do not run redirector. Instead I just use POP access to my email. I do not like anything running on my computer on a constant basis like the redirector. Besides, redirector works only if you have it running at all times.
