Default New blackberry questions - 11-06-2009, 08:49 PM

Hi,

Currently I have a blackberry curve 8330 that I used strictly for work purposes. I just bought a tour 9630 to use as my personal phone and was wondering if there would be any conflicts using both on desktop manager? Will I simply be able to backup my contacts, memo pads, etc and just transfer them over to my tour?

thanks in advance

ps. missing the call log button on the curve... why oh why :'(

1. You can use the Device Switch Wizard in BlackBerry Desktop Manager to transfer the information over to the other device.

2. Press the GREEN phone button. ;)

Switch Device is only applicable if you are migrating from one device to another.

You should be able to use the same instance of DM with both devices. Worst case. However, you will combine contacts and calender data.

If not, set up your calendar and contacts in Goggle and sync that way, at least for one device. Particularly if you don't want to mix contacts and calendar info.

Ok. I was assuming that the user wanted to transfer the "contacts, memo pads, etc" based on what was posted in the OP.

Perhaps I misinterpreted the post.

Motorcycle Mama is correct. I want to transfer the contacts and memopads etc. I will give the Device Switch a try. Thank you
