Default OBEX Push Not Installed: Need To Xfer Files from pc to BB Tour.

Please Login to Remove!

I'm new to forum and Blackberry. Trying to transfer files (Word, Excel, .jpg., .pdf, etc) from my notebook to my BB Tour 9630, via Bluetooth. I receive this error message on the notebook:

"The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond. If you sent the file to another computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed."

I have spent HOURS trying to fix this and need help badly. Could someone please help me, and be specific?

When sending files to a BlackBerry device via Bluetooth, you must INITIATE the transfer FROM the BlackBerry device receiving the file.

Go to Media, press the Menu button, and select "Receive Using Bluetooth".

Thank you very much Motorcycle Mama! May I call you MotoMama to save typing?

This worked with pictures, but not other files; the "Receive Using Bluetooth" didn't present for (Word for example) Maybe it's cuz I don't have the "Words to Go" program. Says I've gotta pay for premium? No way Jose. There might be another way to do that though. I'll fumble around when I get home. It's great to know that pc-to-bb-to-pc via Bluetooth works, and I just need to work out details. Very much appreciated, thanks!
