Default Ringtones/Message Tones Keep Randomly Changing!

Please Login to Remove!

Ugh, this is SO annoying.

Even before I upgraded to 5.0, my BB will randomly change my ringtone and other alert tones.

I only have custom rings for 2 of my entire contact list, but still, when I get a call or email from a specific person or address, it'll be an entirely different tone than the ones I have setup in my OPTIONS. (For instance, my sister just called me and it rang with the default BB ringer.)

Before you state the obvious, I know I COULD go into every single one of my contacts and change the ringer, but MY GOD that would be stupid and tedious. I shouldn't have to do that. I didn't set any of these people who it's happening for with custom ringers/tones, so it shouldn't be happening in the first place. Also, I just have way too many contacts to do this... (Also to note, though, sometimes the two people I have custom rings for will default to the ringer I have set for all calls...)

This is just a problem because in my line of work, everyone has BBs and I keep not knowing if its my phone or someone else's beeping. And it's almost always mine with the random tones I didn't even set.

Try removing the hyphens in your contacts phone numbers. It's a glitch in the OS. But this should work.
