I am new to the 9650, coming from the Curve. Whenever I use the Desktop Manager to synch (daily) it next checks for updates. It then comes back with a long list of updates -- but also tells me that I do not have enough room to add any of them. What am I missing in this process?

For what its worth, I cannot use Version 6 of the desktop manager as it does not synch with an add-on calendaring program that I use in lieu of Outlook.

Thanks.

First of all, please update your profile to reflect the 9650.

Do you have music, pictures and ringtones stored on the device? If so, move them to the SD card.

How much free memory do you have?

Thanks for the quick response. Application free memory is 302mb. I do not think there is much in the way of pictures etc that was loaded on to the BB itself but I couild be wrong. What is the quickest way to check and how do I move the data files from BB to the card?

Thanks, again.

Able to work around the problem by temporarily using version of the Desktop Manager. First I backed up, then did a hard reset, used version 6 to pick up any updates and then restored -- and all seems fine for the moment.
