I used to be able to make my own ring/text tones and put them on my phone with the Blackberry Desktop Software. Then the software updated to this dumb Sync crap and I can only put music on it. I downloaded the old version to fix my problem and it worked for a day, now the Roxio is completely gone and it wants me to install the Sync crap again. Is there no way for me to get ring/text tones on my phone anymore?

In the past, I've always made the ring tones on my PC, then just plugged in my phone (like I was doing a sync) but just open up the proper folder and copy them over to the Blackberry ring tone folder.
