Unhappy Password Keeper and OS 6

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Sprint Bold 9650 and just did the OTA upgrade to OS 6 and suddenly realized password keeper was not on the phone anymore. i know a lot of people do not use this app, but it was a very useful app for me. I guess I got so excited I did not do a backup of my phone before the upgrade, stupid me I know better. Does anyone know if password keeper is apart of OS 6, and if not, is this an app that you can download into the OS 6. This is an official Os version from sprint. Thank you in advance for your help and knowledge.

go to desktop manager and click on applications and make sure password keeper has a checkmark on it and update your device that should bring it back.

Password keeper is always installed as part of OS6 unless it was accidently unchecked during install. I use it all the times and very handy for keeping some of the previlidge related info

I am also using password keeper, when upgraded from OS5 to OS 6, it is still there with the passwords intact. Mine is still in the applications folder.

I believe PK may be found in the Applications folder/icon...did you look there? Also make sure it's not hidden.

Thumbs up Re: Password Keeper and OS 6

Thank you to everyone who responded to my question. I guess when I did the OTA upgrade something occured that inhibited password keeper from loading. After downloading the OS to my computer and reloading my phone through BBDM it was there and after doing a restore everything returned. again, thank you for your insight>

This has been a recurring problem with OTA updates. There have been lots of reports of the password keeper not being reinstalled during the OTA update.
