Default Verizon Wireless Update TODAY release of 5.0.0.1006

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, so I initially downloaded OS 6 from this BB forum site, and now available via the VZW site but disliked the horizontal scrolling and internet browser limited options (font too small, etc), so I am back with 5.0.0.975. I just happened to click on Wireless update expecting either nothing or the OS6 but came up with 'Update to 5.0.0.1006. Does anyone know what has changed or been updated with the .1006 versus what I have now- .975?

thanks!

According the the website, you have to go to an interim 5.0 release first (5.0.0 relase 1644) first, then jump to OS 6 if you are doing it over the air. If you tether to the computer first, you can go right to the version 6 software.

Thanks for the info. What a hassle to do the 2 step process. Does anyone know what is in the .1644 release in OS5? Should I upgrade to this from my current .735 if I am planning on sticking with OS5?

.975 was a big improvement over .735, so I would think if you like OS 5, go with the newest .1006

Upgraded to 1006 and it seems smooth, fast and flawless. All is well.
