I cannot configure my email setup the way I need to on my new Bold.
I want to send under a favorite address, but need to use a specific mail server that requires sender authentication and preferably uses Port 587.
BIS email setup no longer offers the Incoming and Outgoing mail server fields, the Port field, or the ability to require sender authentication. It assumes that my server is the same as what appears in my email address.
I have spent hours on tech support with Verizon's BB support department and still am not receiving email on my phone. They finally suggested I needed to contact RIM for more advanced modifications of email settings than Verizon has available to them.
This is a personal, not business, email account. Has anyone else run into this problem? I don't want to have to stop using a BB. I was able to configure email the way I wanted it on the BB Curve8330 I just switched from.
