I have the same problem in reverse with my 8330. I live on the east coast and when I fly out west, I set the date/time on the BB to pacific but all my text messages and voicemail time stamps are still east coast time. It's obviously carrier related. Maybe it still stamps the time based on the home billing area but I really don't know for sure.
