Hi, new to the forums so hi to every1..

The story is that ave got a nokia n97, which has let me down... so want to get a blackberry bold 9700.. I need to buy the phone sim-free as i have o2sim only contract. Just wondering how much (roughly) would you think it will retail at? also which version would i get? as i have read there are two versions of this phones depending on carriers.

The 2 versions depending on carriers, is for the US.
One is so t-mobile US can have 3G, the other so AT&T can have 3G.
In the UK, it will be the same model for all carriers in UK.
Vodafone are currently selling the 9700, with the other 3 major carriers expected to get it later this month/year.

Its likely to retail around 450.
I believe the Bold 9000 was about 450, I cant imagine the 9700 being radically cheaper.

Without a BlackBerry data plan you lose most of the features for which BlackBerry is so famous.

D'oh forgot to check play and amazon. amazon dosent have the 9700 yet, but i mite be able to get a further 5% off play.com through student discount. if so then it'll be a bargain.
