Just picked up my Rogers 9700 yesterday -- moved up from an older 8800 unit. Questions:

- The nasty cheap belt clip that came in the box; is there a nicer one available? I know the 9700 is smaller than the Bold and even the 8800 (my old cases don't fit)

- When plugged into AC and charging, how do I get the 9700 not to light up its keys and screen?

Check out our Hardware and Accessories forum for some ideas on a clip/holster...although there may not be a lot of selection specifically for the 9700 as yet, as it is a pretty new release.

As far as the backlight while charging is concerned, try going into Options>Screen and Keyboard...there may be something you can adjust in the backlight settings there.

There is a better one. Check out the OEM leather swivel holster. I have used them in the past. Nice holster.

Ya, the other thing is, when you're charging... If you do charge while you sleep like I do, you can always go into your clock and "berry button" enter bedside mode where all the lights shut off...

The 9700 has nearly identical dimensions as the 8900, only diff is 0.6mm thicker, so most 8900 cases (especially the stretchy rubber types) should work fine.
