Exclamation Change Device Issues (9000 to 9700) - 11-23-2009, 01:04 AM

So I did a change device wizard (like I have MANY times before), and all my apps came over, but NONE of my messages or calendar items came over. I open back up my Desktop Manager, go to the advanced tab on the backup and restore to bring these over by themselves, and when it gets to the end of the process it closes! My device at this point reboots and when it comes back up the first time I get a JVM Error 529. Reset and all is good, only no calendar or messages. WTF, over?

i had an identical experience... but i hadnt wiped my bold yet, so i made a backup file, then wiped the 9700, put the latest OS on x.344, and manually loaded from the saved backup file... took a while to reinstall apps, and settings, but no java errors

Now: ATT 9700
Then: ATT 9000, ATT 8310, iPhone (for 4d), TMO 8320, TMO 8700g
Fam: ATT 8900 (wife), ATT 9000 (dad), VZW 8830 (mom), TMO 8900 (sis)

Well, I have my backup from changing the device, I just really didn't feel like going through all of that. Thanks for the advice... I'll let you know how it turns out! (I haven't had a 529 error since my 8700c!)
