Default Bedside Mode - Clock will not stay on

Please Login to Remove!

In bedside mode, can't the clock be left on?
Under the options I seleted Dim Screen to No. But it still dims automatically.
Any ideas or is this a bug?

When in bedside mode, does the BB need to be on a charger for the clock to stay on?
Could that be why mine auto-dims? I was not using the charger.
Anybody else, get this? Or does your clock stay on, when in bedside mode (charger or no charger)?

Never mind, I just tried it on a charger. It still auto-dims.??

Mine stays on if it's plugged into the wall.

I should say when I tried mine on a charger, it was not the wall charger, I just had it on the USB connected to my computer. Not sure if that makes a difference. I'll try the wall charger when I get home.

It is suppose to stay on isnt it? It would make sense.

Have you specifically set the options in the clock application to enter bedside mode when charging? I'm going to go ahead an bet you haven't.

I tried with a USB charger and it stays on as well.

Mine is not set to enter bedside mode when charging and it works just fine.

There is a big difference between entering bedside mode and simply showing a clock when charging.

I understand that. As I stated earlier in the thread, I plug it in and then go into Bedside Mode.

Ok, got it. The BB must be on the charger, then enter bedside mode. This works for me now. The clock stays on.
It will not stay on if it is off the charger, or if you enter bedside mode then put it on the charger.
Thanks everyone.

It makes the clock display dim, but it stays on steadily...just like a bedside clock. I'm retiring my old bedside phone/alarm clock...

My bedside mode works when on the charger, but without it being plugged in, it only works at times. Then it works, then it doesn't. This is the same on the 9000 and 8900. What gives?

The nice thing is, you can have it "mute" any or all notifications that you get in normal mode (texts, emails etc). That way you can sleep without the thing vibrating or ringing for everything that comes in. I have mine "mute" all notifications EXCEPT an actual phone call. If it's important enough for someone to CALL at 3 in the morning, I want to know that...
