Hey chaps.

Loving my new Bold 9700, just one problem which is quite irritating.

Basically, I'll write a text message and then send it, and maybe once or twice a day, after pressing send, the message will not appear in the conversation above between me and who I am texting. Instead, it will freeze for a little while and I am not able to look at the conversation for a couple of minutes. When this happens, the red alert icon on the 'SMS and MMS' on the home screen doesn't seem to disappear until I actually go into it but find no unread SMS or MMS messages. To get rid of this icon at the same time as reading the text/email in my 'Messages' folder, I have to take the battery out and restart it, and doing this twice a day can get a bit annoying.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

I have the same thing from time to time. If you just go into the email or sms folder, and back out, it goes away

What OS are you running. I was having the same Glitch and then I upgraded to .423 and Have not seen that since I switched OS's...

So once it starts happening you keep having to do that every time you send or receive something?

I'm running OS v5.0.0.351.

Go get .423 and see if that helps...

I've noticed this glitch as well after my upgrade to .405. It doesn't bug me enough to upgrade again over it... I just hop in and out of the SMS folder as another poster suggested.

I have a bold two and os 5.0.0.351. I am facing the same problem and the battery reset does the trick for sometime...but is there a solid resolve to the issue?.. will I have to wait for the next software update?
