Default OS Upgrade

Desktop manager is prompting me to upgrade to 405 from original ATT version. If I do that:
1) Are all settings like folders and hidden apps lost
2) Is there any reason/chance would need to reactivate on BES

yes, you need to reactivate BES.
You always need to do this after an upgrade.
