Yes but if it isn't stolen/lost, why would RIM care?

For example, I purchased a Rogers Blackberry Bold 9700 from a store, unlocked it, and then put my Fido SIM in it so that I could do some tests. RIM could care less... Rogers could care less... Fido could care less.

well the guy said he got it from a guy who knows a guy, so i suspect it might be stolen
, with that said, if a bell sim goes in it, if i dont use bbm or bb email
basically texting, calling or web browsing and even with the gps enabled
will rogers/fido give a sh*t?

Why even have a blackberry yet alone a smart phone and not use the features its meant for?

If you are already asking us these questions, you made a wrong purchase and should have got the phone from a retailer.

There's something very wrong here if posters are allowed to ask us about stolen phones - and we are actually responding.

I did - sorry, I should have said "all except yours". I guess I was referring to the other posters who were trying to "help" our suspected "accessory after the fact".

Yeah, we don't deal in stolen property. We don't get out much.

Enough to know NOT to buy stolen BlackBerry's. Let's see if I got this right now...you knowingly buy a stolen BlackBerry, then come here to ask us if we know if you will get traced or caught using it? Did I miss something here? Oh, and then you say we're funny and ask if we get out much? Here's a thought, send me your PIN so I can have it traced and send the cops to your door and end your career. D!CK.

Closed. Don't like it. Go ask how to use a stolen device on another forum.
