Hi i recently got a 9700 with rogers, and i have a 500 mb data plan.

my default browser is Hotspot, and i can connect to internet using Wifi just fine.
But when im away from home, i tried to use Hotspot to connect to internet, and it says its a wifi only feature. So i try to go to advance options -> browser and change the default browser, only to realize that the only browser i have is the Hotspot browser.

is there any way to access internet using the data plan i bought?

Is it the BLACKBERRY data plan, or a generic data plan?

i think its a generic data plan, i downloaded opera mini browser and now i can access internet using 3g. but i cant do things such as viewing youtube videos or accessing the e-mail feature on blackberry. is this cuz i dun have a blackberry data plan?
