Default Bold 2 battery life issue

Please Login to Remove!

i have had my bold 2 for less than a week and just yesterday my battery started acting up. it lasted me only half a day.
i had a curve 8900 which had the same problem but found out that it was caused by the casing (strange)

i took the casing off my bold and still have the same problem.

i dont use it very much, i haven't downloaded any apps yet, and just use it for sms and bbmessenger.

now i'm thinking could it be a software issue? i'm on .330

can someone please help me resolve this? it's frustrating, i cant get around without worrying that my phone can die on me anytime.

I have found the battery life on the 9700 to be excellent. Make sure you aren't running any apps in the background - at least apps that you aren't aware of. Always CLOSE/EXIT the app when you are done (don't just hit the escape key - that often leaves the app running in the background).

Make sure you turn off the BlueTooth and WiFi radios when you are not using them - they can suck a battery dry quickly... and how's your signal? If you are in a poor 3G reception area, that, too can drain your battery looking for a signal.

If your device is bouncing between 3G and 2G your battery will be depleted quickly and 3G uses battery much faster than 2G.

I leave my wifi and bluetooth on 24/7 and don't have any battery issues.

It could be the OS also, I had short battery life with one of the previous OS but I'm good to go now.
