Default how to change number of rings before message center?

how can i change the number of rings before my phone goes to message center? i am with bell and on their website it says to dial *94x send where x is the number of rings you want, but this no longer works as the message says this feature must be activated from my handset. can anyone help? thanks.

try that.... odd its not a menu item like even dumb phones now but try that.

You may have better luck calling your wireless provider (Bell, according to your profile)...

Some providers also disable the ability to set the number of rings before going to voice mail so users have absolutely no control over the number of rings before going to voice mail. For example, Fido (Canada) disabled it roughly a few months ago and Rogers Wireless (Canada) has had it disabled for awhile. I'm not sure if Bell has also disabled it but you can/should call them to verify if it is possible to change the number of rings before going to voice mail.
