Default Blackberry 9700 won't boot

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, yesterday my Blackberry some how turned off in my pocket and will only blink a red light. It will not boot or do anything, but blink red. It has no water damage and is only about 3 days old. I figured the OS is corrupt and this might be the problem. However, I tried to use the blackberry desktop manager to try and reload a new OS, but it will not recognize the device. I tried to do a force detect and I still have no luck. Anyone have any advice. Thanks in advance!

Do this first:

How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ

If that doesn't work, do this:

What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

If you can do one of the above get the most up to date OS from here and follow the instructions:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

If none of that will work, then time to get it replaced. I'd be quite suspect anyway as the device shouldn't have done that unless you loaded some 3rd party application that doesn't agree with it.

I have seen this with a very low battery. Try charging the unit.
