This worked on my Tour, should also work for your 9700

Download BBSAK 1.7

STEPS:
DOWNLOAD THIS net_rim_bb_sms_compose.cod from net_rim_bb_sms_compose.cod

1. Open up BBSAK and if your device has a password input it, if not just click ok.
2. Click read System
3. Sort by name if you want and locate net_rim_bb_sms_compose.cod
4. Click Remove COD with net_rim_bb_sms_compose.cod highlighted.
5. Your device reboots.
6. Click Install COD and pick the .405 net_rim_bb_sms_compose.cod that i uploaded.
7. Device Reboots.
8. Enjoy

Easier (and more correct IMHO) - upgrade your 9700 to the latest version of the operating system. Look for the Sticky Thread at the top of this forum for exact details.

At the top of each forum (like the 9700) forum are threads that the moderators feel should be on top, and not move. They are called "Sticky" threads.

This is the thread you need to use - http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

Please follow the instructions to the letter. Good luck.

Ya well - I upgraded to the latest version yesterday, the .566 I think, and it just happened to me. Never happened before, and it happened only while I was actually in the message. I suspect that that's the only time it does happen. Now upgrading to .593
