Hey guys,

After been through a number of exchanges with Rogers. Finally landed on one I thought was good. But anyways received another replacement unit. This one seems different, it didn't come with a SIM card like my other replacements and it is made in Mexico 1 as opposed to all the other ones I received that were made in Mexico 4... Also, noticed the PIN is all numbers, no letters at all. I'm not sure if its Refurbished or not. As there is no indication. As well it came with all the usual accessories (usb cable, earphones, charger, holster)

Anyway's got it charged last night, noticed right off the bat. They keys are even dimmer then the one I'm using now.. not dimmer. But keypad lighting is very yellowish, and not whitish like my current.. Trackpad doesn't seem to wobble though. That's a plus. Why can't Rogers just send us ones that are made in Canada!

Another note, the one on the left has the whiter keypad lighting then the one on the right. But for some reason, the one on the right seems brighter due to this. Also, the left one the number 2 key, kind creaks when pressed then released. But after about 3 clicks on it, it kinda goes away a bit..

Which one would you guys stick with?

Personally I think the one on the left looks better. Although it is dimmer than the one on the right, I still think that the one on the left looks crisper.

I had this same issue with EVERY 8310 I had gone through. The build quality on RIM devices has definitely decreased over the past few years (most likely due to exponentially increased production). I'd recommend going with whichever you prefer -- everyone's eyes are different.

i lost one of my key from keypad with $ mark :( . probably when i try to put in holster.
how need to send device to service

This issue is very true, I have gone through 6 Bold 9700 exchanges with my provider. My current one is pretty much perfect. It has white keys, and the most noticeable difference I have felt is the keys are soft, blackberry key, back key, and keypad. Are very easy to press and doesn't require much force to have a key inputted.

Each one I've gone through has different variations of lighting for the keypad. My current one is perfect. Lighting isn't a huge issue, I guess its just me being picky.
