Who says the PIN is blocked?

If it is blocked, there's not help. Your device was likely reported lost or stolen, and then you bought it.

Sorry.

Thanks..Jsanders ..for your reply..

Is there any solution to unblock this PIN since i can`t use it on new network? Also i`ve contacted Vodafone but they are also clueless..

Is there any wayout that we can track from where this Phone was purchased and registered?

JSanders asked who is saying it is blocked. But also, is "blocked" the word that is being used? Just want to be clear.

If "blocked" there is nothing you can do, as JSanders says. At least that's what I've always read and I've never read of a solution to unblock.

But if the problem is the blackberry is still registered on a previous owner's BIS, that is a different matter. It may be difficult to solve, but it may be.

So, which is it?

The person that offered you the gift are not aware where they purchased the handset from?

Tracking the history of a BB most likely get you nowhere since you are at the mercy of the seller and what they state the history of the device has been. If the device has indeed been blocked by RIM (call or email them to verify), then there is nothing that you can do except make SIM-based, GSM network calls.

That is who I'd be asking.

IF they left the device registered on it's old network, that can be released. Just ask your grifter friend to take care of it.
