Exclamation How do I locate c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader?

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to upgrade my OS and am hopeless with computers.

Instructions are telling me to 'Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Vista/Win7 users: In the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the actual Vendor.xml file.'

But I have no idea how to locate these files, a step by step instruction would be greatly appreciated.

I am on Vista, not sure which type.

Thanks

Here's a great place for new users to start - BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ

Follow the instructions on how to install Desktop Manager.
Follow the instructions on how to download and install the handheld OS for your BlackBerry.

The folder you are looking for is either in

c:\program files\... (as above) or
c:\program files (x86)\...

Since you are on Vista, it may be the 64 bit version which will load the programs in the second folder.

If that fails, find a friend who can help... Good luck.
