| The use of GPS on a phone connected to the at&t network is and always has been free. You need maps ("data") for the GPS to be of any use... and Google Maps, MapQuest or BlackBerry Maps provide that data as a part of the BB data plans... at&t charges for the convenience of turn-by-turn navigation via the navigator app. So if you are NOT using the at&t navigation app and you have a BB data plan, there is no additional/monthly charge for GPS and maps. |
