| USB charging issue Please Login to Remove! Wondering if anyone else has seen this or has a solution.
I just switched from a Bold 9000 to the 9700 (AT&T). With my old 9000, I used a straight mini-USB cable plugged into a Griffin USB cigarette lighter adapter in my car. Worked fine. The 9700, however, will not charge using a micro-USB cable plugged into the same USB adapter. (I can charge my Motorola Bluetooth earpiece in the car using the same cable and USB adapter.) If I plug the same cable into my laptop, the 9700 charges. The only way I can charge my 9700 in the car is to use an actual car charger designed for it, but I don't like the coiled cable on that charger. I'd really prefer to use a straight cable when using my Garmin GPS program on the 9700. I've tried three different micro-USB cables, and all of them will work when plugged into my laptop, but not when plugged into the car USB adapter. I've also tried a different car USB adapter made by Rocketfish with the same result.
Any ideas? |
