Default Icon Notification Settings

Please Login to Remove!

Friends,

Since I didn't get any definitive answers to my previous question, I have decided to try it by myself. So far I have installed Gmail Mobile and figured out how to run two accounts. I am also installing Sync to try and sync calendar and contacts.

As far as email, I have two (hopefully) quick questions:

1. I don't want to disable email to the BB completely, but want it to download in the background. Is there a way to completely disable any notifications of new email? Either by LED, the icon on top, or anything else?
2. Is there a way to enable Gmail to display new email notification on top of the screen, rather than only on top of the Gmail Mobile icon?

Many thanks in advance!

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

Go to profiles - edit profiles - messages - and then choose your notifications for each item. Turn off or Turn on LED indicator as you wish. Yiur request is rather simple for your device

OK, after I posted my response asking how to find Profiles, I realized what that was. Unfortunately that only allows me to edit the buzzing and/or sound settings. I was asking specifically about the notification icons that appear at the top of the screen. For example - I figured out how to turn off the new message count, but the icon saying that I have new mail is still there. I want that off. Also, Gmail Mobile does not have an icon up there to show new mail. Is there a setting for that?

As always, many thanks in advance.
