Default Barcode Locations

This may sound silly, but I have (within the last hour or so) just discovered BBM Barcodes (over at Crackberry Groups). I had wondered where I could find/join groups, and now I know.
But I'm hearing that the barcodes are used for other things other than groups, and was wondering where I can find them.

Barcode reading will be implemented into blackberry app world on the next update (like how it is in android). As for now, it is only for BBM when using a berry

The postings on App world do not give it very high marks. Aparently it has a lot of issues. the listed version is 3.1.6 and it looks like the date is 6-18-2010. Based on the comments I would wait to see if it's fixed.

Thanks for the input, but I am not referring to the pricing codes on products, but the codes used by the code reader in BBM for adding contacts to BBM, joining groups and such. I also hear that these codes are out in the general public now for things like concert tickets and the likes.
