try open blackberry desktop manager
plug usb to your bb
click application
wait until complete

open battery then restart

Uncaught exception: Index 6 >= 6 - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

You will probably need to wipe the device using Jl_cmdr (see the FAQ) and reinstall the OS (see the yellow sticky at the top of the 9700 section for the OS and instructions).
