Default 9700 Unable to boot - no indicator lights...

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys,

So I have a 9700 that is unfortunately out of warranty and will currently not boot.

If I plug it into a USB cable, red LED im used to seeing on my 9000 is not coming up on the 9700. I took the charged battery from my 9000 and put it in the 9700 and still nothing.

Is there anything I can try to bring the 9700 back to life?

How could it be out of warranty? It's only been out for what, like 7-8 months? They have 1 year of warranty.

I will double check the warranty.

But in case for whatever reason it is no longer within the warranty period, is there anything else I can try to resurrect this 9700?

I would assume not if there is no LED indicators on the device when plugged in
only thing i can think of is
have you tried plugging it into the computer, and different USB ports
have you tried a separate wall charger.
other then that it could be done for

release for the actually BB 9700 was late October, so it would be around the 1 year term now.

try to connect to wall socket and remove the battery, wait for a few seconds to a minute (give 5 min the most) see if the screen will advise that the device have no battery. Let us know.

I will try and find a wall charger for it in my stash of goodies and report back.

this just happened to me now. Take the battery out and leave it. Then try again after some time. Mine is okay now.
