Default There was an error restoring

Hi guys. I forgot my password and my 9700 just did the swipe thing. Now I'm trying to restore all mi data from a previous back up file and when I hit restore, there is a pop up window that saiys as it follows "There was an error restoring". There could have been a problem with the device or connection. During the restore. Verify that the device is turned on and connected". My bold is turned on an connected...
Please help me guys.

Make certain that you are connected via USB to a main rear USB port, not a USB hub, front USB port, etc.

When you enter the restore screen, are you able to see all of the databases in your restore listed? Can you try ONLY restoring one or two databases first, like your Address Book?
