| 9700 Trackpad Random Movement Please Login to Remove! I've been using the trackpads on two models. Starting with the 8520 for 6 months and then the 9700 for the last 7. And this random jumping of the cursor is drivng me nuts. The curve did it to an extent, but not very frequently. The Bold has had the glitch show up almost every day and it's consistant.
I have my trackpad set to 90% horizontal and vertical sensitivity. It always jumps to the right. Always. And almost always about 5 clicks worth.
CrackBerry Kevins 9780 jumps up (according to his 9780 Podcast last month). And, like Kevin, I cannot find a common denominator for what triggers it. It doesn't seem to be light. It also doesn't seem to be proximity either. Sometimes it will zip to the right while typing. Not just when my thumb is resting on it or hovering nearby.
I was wondering if anyone has tried a replacement trackpad?
This one is absolutely accurate - except for the random movement
I was thinking that the ribbon connector might have a connectivity issue and all it might need is a dab of Dielectric Silicone.
