I have a broken LCD similar to the phone in the video posted below.

I have another broken blackberry bold 9700 that's been water damaged but the screen still works so I wanted to just swap the screens but when i opened it up i couldn't quite figure out how to pry the lcd screen off.

I called a local cellphone dealership that sells unlocked phones and what not and I was just gonna pay them to swap it for me. They said that there are 4 types of lcd screens and you can't tell until you look inside the phone.



Is this true?

Yes, but I think there's 3 different kinds of LCD's. My LCD is broken as well but I've just been lazy and haven't changed it yet. I'm probably just going to wait for the 9900 and get that.
