Call Failed msg on 9700 Bold
Hi all,
Quite disapointed tonight, as I`m getting `Call Failed` only a few seconds in a call, if that. I have full signal, and everything worked fine till now. It's on the Bell network and has been great up until today

I have been reading about it all night, as i really want to avoid sending out this 3 week old blackberry (no warranty - bought off of a friend who upgraded)

Here is what I have tried allready..
Battery out + Sim card out for 30 minutes.
-Upgraded to 6.0 bundle 2391
-2G/3G settings
-Full charge
-Removed 1 infront of my number, then back once i saw it didnt change anything

Quite frankly I dont know what to do.
Any suggestions?

Could be an anomaly or something that occurred on Bell's network and nothing to worry about. Personally I'd wait and see how it is in the next day or so before troubleshooting your phone or settings.

Call failed generally occurs when you are have a poor signal or one toer hands the call off to another.

What is your signal strength?

Re: Call Failed msg on 9700 Bold
I too have the 9700 (from Tmobile) and have had two episodes in the past three days with "Call Failed". During that time, calls into my BB go directly to VM. I can email during that time, as I had to email my wife to try calling me since I could not call out.

The first time, I did a reboot on the phone and the second time, I did a battery pull.

Both times I had almost full signal and have made calls in that area before.

Would the ALT LGLG (log) be helpful in these situations?

Could be your on your carrier's end. I think it falls under the "anything wireless can act strangely at times under seemingly normal conditions". If it's a persistent problem, then I would look deeper into the causes. Post back if it continues......
