Default Updating device software on Mac

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all. My wife's BB (she uses PC) has been upgraded to OS 6, which I love. I use Mac and have used another software for sync, so I just downloaded RIMs Mac Desktop Software. According to the site, I would be prompted for upgrading my device's OS, but so far, nothing. Do I have to Sync first? I have already backed up data using Desktop but still no prompt. What can I do?

I think the current version of DM for Mac will only let you upgrade the OS if it is an official release from your carrier.

For other versions from other carriers, you would need to use a PC or run a Windows instance on the Mac.
