Default Blackberry Bold 9700 version 6.0.0.650 (6.0.0.2858)

Please Login to Remove!

BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.2858 (Asia)

Package Version: 6.0.0.2858
Consisting of:
Applications: 6.0.0.650
Software Platform: 6.6.0.236
File name: 9780jAsia_PBr6.0.0_rel2858_PL6.6.0.236_A6.0.0.650_ Mobilicity.exe
File size: 165.35MB
Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Download Software from BlackBerry Servers

Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 9700:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Vista/Win7 users: In the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the actual Vendor.xml file. Once you've got that - simply delete the vendor.xml file there (even if you've deleted or think you've deleted it in the folder previously) and voila, it will allow you to update to the newly installed OS!
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a black "BlackBerry" screen with a status bar for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again, and it should load the OS to the device.

Why the file name says 9780? Is it good to install on 9700? Does it include East Asian Language? From the file name seems it is. Anyone can confirm?

Thanks,

It's a typo! If you follow the link and download, you will see it is indeed for the 9700.

Installed... Let's see if it's as good as 615 (which is the best 6.0.0 build so far!)

Been running for a week now; no new issues to report. Used Shrink-A-OS to remove everything I didn't want.

After OS upgrade, when I try to setup my email account on the device but I read this message "unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider". I tried to solve the problem installing this OS but I still have the same situation.
H3G help desk seems unable to solve the issue. Is there anyone with the same issue? Solutions? Ideas?
Thanks
Carlo
