Hows it going, I was wondering if anyone has tried to Fix a broken screen for there Bold. I recently bought a new OEM Screen and replaced my broken one. However when i turned it on the new screen showed nothing but green/pale lines. You could tell the phone was still operating because of a shadow of lines were your cursor would normally be, however i could not display any of my information.
Does anyone know of a site, or can anyone be of some assistance with the Hardware for this phone. Ive cleaned the connectors but it just seemed to make things worse. Im hopeing their is some way to reset or flash the phone.
I hope someone can help.

Might try searching or reading through the 9700 section. Youtube might also be an option. I am sure that it has been done many times.

How did it get broken in the first place? that might lend clues as to why it isn't working now.

Have you tried reloading the OS? A difficult without seeing what is displayed on the screen.

cracked the screen while in the supermarket with my daughter. I belive the cart pushed up against the phone which was in my pocket and cracked the screen.

replaced my 9700 screen...got smashed in a flinging arguement...but i didnt DIY...gave it to a technician at a phone repairs store....it has been working perfectly well since then....thats almost a year now
