How do I use an Unlocked&Unbranded 9700 on AT&T?
 

So I bought a used unbranded and unlocked 9700 from eBay. My mom has an iPhone that she'll be upgrading soon, but that SIM won't work with a BB, correct? I don't have an AT&T SIM, so I'm not sure how to go about activating the phone when I receive it. How much will services from AT&T be without a contract? I have a CDMA android phone, but it's global SIM wasn't included with it, and that wouldn't have good service anyways (I think). So basically, explain in noob terms how to set up this device to work with AT&T. Costs, necessities, etc. Thanks in advance.

The 9700 will work ok but unless you get a Blackberry Data plan from either ATT or another carrier you wont be able to use much of the BB. If you dont add one the carriers will at some point but it may not be what you want. This is not a standard data plan like on a standard cell phone or the Iphone.

If you call ATT they will set you up. Simply go to a store or make a call. They will need the model, and some of the numbers inside under the battery.

Thanks, but I've figured things out now! Ill cancel the iPhone data plan on the iPhone 's SIM card and put it in the 9700, and my mom will take my current phone. Ill use the 9700 until the 97909790 is released in the US. Thanks for the help! :-)
