I'm having a problem with my data side of the phone.

Seems it has no communication!

Running OS 6.0.0.141

Called AT&T and had me chanck some settings under Mobile Network and it seems I'm missing some stuff. Can some of you confirm what options you have?

I have the following:
Data Service - ON
While Roaming - ON

Mobile Network - AT&T
Network Mode - 3G &2G

Called the store and they double checked and everything on there side looks fine too. They said they may have to replace it.

Seems a LOT of people have been having problems with WI-FI and the BIS.
One person even had the phone replaced 3 times, before they figured out the solution.

Myself included now, I leave WI-FI on and it automagicly connects to my home network for data when I arrive home. But, when I leave home, its fails to restore connection to AT&T Data / 3G / BIS. Even after a battery pull, its fails to connect. EVER!

Solution 1)
do a complete full back up of device
Wipe device
once rebooted, re-enable Mobile network
Let it connect and register on the network, you will get an email confirmation
Restore all data from backup

Solution2) - Perminant fix
Get a new SIM card for the new Torch
We just swapped out my old SIM card from my BOLD that was originally in my Curve 8300

Going in at lunch to get a new SIM card - 30 second swap

Got a new SIM card. WOW! Internet access is noticably faster now!

AT&T guy says the SIM cards get updated software on them every few months. Don't know if thats true or not, but I'll find out later when I go home and connect to WI-FI and then disconnect if the problem comes back.

Problem solved! New SIM card did the trick.
