Every time I get an SMS from someone I have had a conversation with in the past it seems as though it does not automatically go to the last message sent but rather forces me to scroll down to the newest message in the thread ..... anyone else experiencing this?

yea i think its an issue with this software and should be fixed in next release.
for now you can press b for bottom so you dont have to scroll
