Default Errant Residual Alerts

Per the attached screen snag, even though I cleared out all text messages and my call history, these still show up...the text message seems like a message I tried to create and ended up with some false number. Any idea how to purge this stuff...I might not make my bed every morning but I like to keep my phone tidy. LOL

I'm not clear if you are talking about a counter that won't go to zero, or a message that won't delete.

If the counter, see How do I reset my message counter to clear, or zero? - BlackBerryFAQ.

If a message that won't delete, try a battery pull and see if the message is still there afterward, or try again to delete if it is still there. If that doesn't do it, scroll up to the next date field in the message list, open the menu, and select delete prior. That should do it, though you will lose all prior messages. But if it doesn't work, you probably are looking at clearing the messages database using desktop manager. Do a backup beforehand if you go that far.

thank you. No, I was not looking to clear the counter...just the screen...I should have remembered the battery trick....that was a regular fix for my Curve. That fixed it. Thank you.

weird after the reboot....and, then getting a text this morning, the errant text came back called 79710...same as before. I think it must be a bug.
