| The "Moving" Mail Icons Please Login to Remove! I have 4 email accounts configured on my 9800.
Even though I usually check my mail from the unified messages view, I keep the individual mail icons visible, and occasionally use them.
I keep putting them in a specific "order", but they keep changing positions.
This does not happen to any other icons but the mail icons.
I deleted the accounts and recreated them, sent service books, battery pulls, and even after a couple of OS upgrades, the dance remains.
No big deal, but just technically intriguing. Anyone else with this, and any clue what could be causing this?

| In the "All" menu.
I'm planning to add them as well to the "Favorites" and see if the issue follows

| I'm guessing this has something to do with how often the mail accounts receive mail. The mail icons might be moving around based on the OS's determination of frequently used apps. | | Offline

| 6.0.0.246.
Incidentally, I have gone through all the releases so far, and the dancing has been kind enough to accompany me.

| Man, I'm having the same issues, running version .214 - this didn't happen on the original version of OS (can't recall the number). I finally got tired of chasing the icons around and put the 2 that were jumping around in the Applications folder and they stayed put there, but move around in it also! | | Offline

| Try creating a new folder on the all menu, called email o whatever and move into that folder all your email folders, probably they'll stop the dancing around

I can tell now this is happening to many people... so hopefully there will be a fix soon.

| Pretty much every other reboot, pending how bad I needed to reboot, has my icons move around. I don't keep track on all the folder, except the "Favorite" but they sure get re-arranged because of two or so icons got moved...grrrr....annoying. | | Offline

| I thought that this was only happening to me because I have a third party theme installed, although it also happens on a reboot (by a new program requiring a reboot or on battery pull) even if I am using default RIM 6 theme.
After I have organized my folders and icons into appropriate folders, and I do a reboot, I get three or four rows of icons (social messaging, such as facebook, and media such as camera) appearing first. I have to move these icons back into the folders where I had originally put them.
I wonder if is a third party program which is non-os 6 compliant which is causing this?
The Roger's rep suggested I reinstall the OS (which is .246 and the OS which Rogers and the other Canadian telcoms launched with on Sept 30).
I can't remember when this first started, but I would not have had a reboot until I installed some new programs. I am considering the latest Beta .337 and will do a BBSAK clean and after installing the OS see if I get the same issue before reinstalling my 3rd party apps. | | Offline
