issue with the "To" field when composing email When I am in the messages screen and I select the option to compose a new email, I have a strange thing occur. When I enter a character in the "To" address field, not only does it bring up the entries in my contacts but it also displays hundreds of other addresses. It seems that the BB is capturing the email address from every email I receive and puts them in the drop down list to select from. These entries are in my contacts. Any thoughts on this? Hopefully I made sense. |
In Messages/Options select General Options, scroll down to Show Recent Contacts when Composing Email and click NO. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |

I was pleasantly surprised when I unknowingly had this feature turned on. It's a timesaver when emailing people in the office that I don't necessarily have saved as a contact, by not haing to do aname lookup. |
I'm having a similar issue - my "To" field is only capturing contacts from one of the categories I have set up in outlook, only the resolution that worked for others does not appear as an option in the World Edition. Anyone have any suggestions? |
