Default Transfer issues to Torch

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Everyone,

It's been a while since I've had to post on this site. I gotta say I've been pretty happy with the BB OS's as of late.

But I have had a few issues with Torches lately. I tried to do a recent "transfer" of BB and got a java error on the Torch. I think went in an upgraded the OS the newest version. And told my new BB Desktop software (downloaded new yesterday) to prompt me on any uncompatible programs. Well it stopped mid transfer and threw an error about Yahoo Messenger. I had to go into the original BB then delete Yahoo and transfer again. Only after all of that did the transfer work.

All that said and done I'm still having some minor issues with Sametime logging in. But I have a feeling that maybe because my BES is still 4.1.7.

Anyone have similar issues with transfering BB's to a torch or are most of you doing fresh reactivations?

You are correct. According to RIM, BES 5.0 support OS 6.0 an up.

We'll be making the upgrade in Q2

But shouldn't affect my transfer issues at least.
