Default Odd Picture orientation

I am having an issue with the camera on my new TORCH. When I take a picture with the phone vertical, using the trackpad to snap the shot, the picture appears properly when viewing it on the camera, however when I email it, it rotates it 90 deg. If I take the picture with the camera oriented horizontally, with the convenience button on the top, it is fine. How can I fix this?

There's nothing to fix, except that you're holding the camera sideways when you take a photo.
You're supposed to use the camera in landscape mode (horizontally, as you call it).
The shutter button (right convenience key) should be at the top when you're holding it... like a real camera.
